Juhee Chung studied music theory at the Ewha Women’s University in Seoul. She also received a bachelor’s degree in composition at Berklee College of Music and a diploma in composition at the Frankfurt Musik Hochschule. She continued her studies in composition and also dabbled on computer music at the Zurich musik Hochschule. Her pieces were performed in various music festivals in Asia, Europe and USA. She received many commissions and foundation grants.

At present, she takes a position as an assistant professor at Jeju national university in Korea.
